Indus International School



The Indus International School, Bangalore, (IISB) is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school situated on a 5000-acre campus at Sarjapur, Bangalore, India, which was established by the Indus Trust in 2003. The school is run by the Indus Trust, comprising members who represent the IT sector, real estate development, and business investment.

The Principal of Indus International School Bangalore is Mrs Sarojini Rao. Mrs Rao has been the principal since 2005. She stood first at University in Economics, has a triple master’s degree in Education, Economics and Management, and is trained in all the three IB programs (PYP, MYP and DP). Mrs. Rao is also a graduate of the Principal’s Training Center for International School Leadership, USA. She is the Managing Trustee of Indus International Community School, Bangalore
Boarding
Boarding facilities are available on a weekly and full-time basis. Boys and girls are housed in separate hostels, which are divided into sections based on grade. The boarding houses are overseen by a 'house parent', who is the central point of contact during after-school hours. The house parents are managed by the Head of Boarding.
Sports and Arts Facilities
The integrated sports complex comprises an indoor stadium and an outdoor track and field stadium. A swimming pool facility is also available.
The Cultural Block holds two dance studios and multiple art rooms. The music room contains a variety of music instruments for students interested in acquiring musical proficiency.
Indus Bangalore has stables and riding arena on campus. The school offers horse riding lessons to students who wish to avail of it.
The open air amphitheatre has a seating capacity of over 800 and is used for outdoor performances such as plays, band concerts and graduation ceremonies.
Indian-American technology investor Kumar Malavalli announced funding in 2003.
