The Delhi Public School Society is the administrative authority for all the
institutions under its banner. Some of the schools are also affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi. The Society
was founded by Anant Barjatiya in 1970. After this Rear Admiral M.M Chopra
was appointed as new vice-chairman of Delhi Public School Society. Yes we
are talking about Delhi Public School which
happens to be one of the largest institutions
providing education at school level in India.
It is a co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The medium of instruction is English. It
provides education from Nursery to class XII. The subjects taught are English,
Hindi, French, Mathematics, General Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
History and Civics, and Geography. The school offers medical, non-medical, and
commerce streams in classes XI and XII. Its facilities include computer lab, physics lab, chemistry lab, library with over 15,000 books, Audio-Visual room, etc. Sports

Public School places a good emphasis on the importance of overall

There are international schools too which work very similar to these
schools. These fully English-medium schools became functional from the session
2006-2007 in a phased manner offering education up to class XII and is also affiliated
to C.B.S.E, the school also offers Engineering, Medical, Commerce, Humanities
and Vocational stream at the +2 stage. Delhi International School is an institution that aims at amalgamation of
international educational norms with the Indian system of education.
DPS Society operates 19 schools
outside India in over 10 countries. The teaching standards are high and uniform
across all branches of the school. It has been said that the administrators are
approachable and have a very professional outlook and strong work ethics. The
highest individual aggregate is from Delhi
Public Schools are-R K Puram (fourth), Rohini (sixth), Vasant Kunj
(seventh) and Dwarka (tenth)-in the top 10 Delhi schools.
